K12 Districts of All Types and Sizes, Across the Continental US and Alaska Choose the ANGEL Learning Management Suite to Take Learning Online

Indianapolis, IN June 25, 2007 – ANGEL® Learning, recognized innovator of enterprise elearning software and services, today named select K12 schools and districts that recently adopted the ANGEL Learning Management Suite (LMS). K12 schools use the ANGEL LMS to offer virtual classes and online professional development and to provide 21st century learning experiences with anytime, anywhere access to learning content and resources.

New K12 ANGEL clients named either selected ANGEL as their first LMS or switched to ANGEL from a competing system:

  • District School Board of Collier County, Naples, Florida – Collier County Schools serve 43,000 students in 45 schools and an additional 3,000 students in alternative and adult programs.
  • Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, Kenai, Alaska – KPBSD serves nearly 10,000 students in 44 schools. The district covers 25,600 square miles and transports students more than 7,000 miles on school buses everyday.
  • St. John’s Lutheran School, Orange, California - Founded in 1883, St. John's is the largest LCMS elementary school in the nation. The school offers classes for children age three through 8th grade.
  • Stark-Portage Area Computer Consortium, Canton, Ohio – One of 23 Information Technology Centers in the Ohio Educational Computer Network whose mission is to  provide high quality technology support in their respective geographic areas, SPARCC serves the 29 school districts in Stark, Portage, and Carroll Counties in Northeast Ohio.
  • Tempe Union High School District, Tempe, Arizona – Recognized for its modern, functional schools, the Tempe Union High School District serves more than 13,000 students in eight comprehensive high schools situated on 50- to 75-acre campuses.
