Infrastructure Administrator

The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for:

• Maintaining and monitoring the network for inefficiencies, intrusion/security and overall stability.
• Core server administration for both Internal IT and Hosting
• Traveling to customer sites for new installations.

EDUCATION and TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in software engineering or computer science.
• Detailed knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP, Firewall/VLAN configuration, NAT/Hardware-Based load balancing, encryption, and network security best practices.
• Familiarity with CISCO and F5 Big IP equipment and/or certification a Plus.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration / Active Directory.
• IIS and SQL server knowledge a plus.
• Experience with backup technologies and strategies oriented around the backup and restoration of large, volatile datasets using Veritas/Lightspeed software.
