Description

Grand Canyon University (GCU) understands that not all students learn the same way and that reading plain text can be difficult for visual and auditory learners. GCU recently added an Academic Web Services team to improve student learning by building tools that cater to these various learning styles. The team has upgraded the GCU ANGEL classroom style from a “paper-on-the-web” format to a more visually appealing design that engages students. Moving from long lectures in plain black and white text with little visual interest, GCU lectures are now divided into smaller, more manageable sections that feature 3D models, simulations, flash items, audio lecture recordings, and more. The visually appealing design and multimedia enhancements provide GCU students with rich and engaging teaching and learning experiences and provide learning opportunities for the full range of learning styles.
