Florida Virtual School (FLVS) uses the ANGEL LMS to deliver a “learning recovery” program that allows students to test out of material they have already learned. The program helps students behind in credits or struggling to learn to by-pass material that they have already mastered, removing frustration and re-engaging them with a joy for learning. Using pre-assessments and heavy use of ANGEL's agent technology and environment variables, the system releases content based on students' pre-assessment performance and provides a variety of notifications to students on that performance. The end result is a system that provides a more personalized teaching and learning experience for Florida Virtual School's students. Florida Virtual School's work in developing the system has also benefited the larger ANGEL community, as the ANGEL LMS' learning outcomes approach has been influenced and improved by Florida Virtual School's work.
