Program Description

Indiana University School of Medicine’s CERTTS integrates a PDA-based clinical experience logging system with ANGEL. The first system of its kind in the country, CERTTS adds a 2007 ANGEL IMPACT Award to numerous accolades and recognition of IUSM as a national leader in medical education technology.

CERTTS meets Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) directives and Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) requirements that medical students’ clinical experiences be tracked. ANGEL’s flexibility enabled IUSM to tailor its ANGEL implementation to meet these medical school specific needs. The system records and reports more than 200,000 clinical encounters by 560 IUSM students annually and enables faculty to view student progress online in a reports interface.
