Program Description

The SUNY Fredonia ANGEL Project Team attributes their ability to rapidly migrate to ANGEL and have the switch “embraced” on campus to planning, communication, training and providing ample opportunity for input. The 889 courses live in ANGEL for fall 2006 is evidence of the successful migration.

In the four months between hardware installation and switching to ANGEL, the team:

  • Integrated ANGEL with their SIS.
  • Migrated their NCATE electronic data management system to ANGEL.
  • Transferred their Electronic Reserves service to ANGEL.
  • Assisted 300 faculty in course migration.
  • Developed and posted training materials in ANGEL.
  • Created 150 community groups ranging from search committees to online counseling sessions to take advantage of the ANGEL’s community group feature – one of the features available in ANGEL’s “expansive” feature set that was not available in their previous system.
